Job summary

The Sales Engineer will support the Sales & Marketing Director in managing key accounts and sales in Northern Europe. Ensuring the continued growth of the business the Sales Engineer will identify key prospects, generate new enquiries in accordance with customer requirements and turn major proposals into Contracts, whilst maintaining good customer relations with key customers and ensuring the company’s reputation and visibility in the marketplace is maintained. The Sales Engineer will also be expected to liaise with appointed Global Agents, and contribute to continuing Business Development.

Job description

The Sales Engineer will support the Sales & Marketing Director in managing key accounts and sales in Northern Europe. Ensuring the continued growth of the business the Sales Engineer will identify key prospects, generate new enquiries in accordance with customer requirements and turn major proposals into Contracts, whilst maintaining good customer relations with key customers and ensuring the company’s reputation and visibility in the marketplace is maintained.  The Sales Engineer will also be expected to liaise with appointed Global Agents, and contribute to continuing Business Development.

  • Develop new customers in Northern Europe.
  • Maintain good lines of communication with Wozair and Veotec regional.
  • Visit key customers where required for face to face meetings.
  • Identify upcoming Prospects and generate new opportunities for Proposals Team.
  • Assist with securing major contracts.
  • Work effectively with customer and distributors.
  • Maintain existing business and drive new programs with existing customers.
  • Maintain customer profiles in region.
  • Manage monthly sales reports for region.
  • Monitor, analyse and report competitor products.

Assist with finding and appointing new agents and distributors within the territory

Job qualifications

  • Technical sales experience.
  • Excellent Communicator – English & German speaking
  • Results driven with sound business judgement.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Personal planning and time management.
  • Experience with working within at least one of the following industries:

Marine, Power Generation, Nuclear, Oil and Gas

Educated to a high level in a mechanical engineering discipline

5+ sales experience and demonstrable track record of securing contracts in at least one of the 5 industries listed

above.

Willingness to travel to overseas locations to meet customers and suppliers.

Salary will be up to €65k
